Legacy Warranty

When you have been running the number of years we have (Est. 2014) you of course have changes in terms and conditions and warranties etc. To make things simple we have created this page for Legacy Warranty.

• In 2016 we offered an option of charging for additional warranty, we found this to be ineffective as there were instances of trying to get 'good value' from the scheme by citing warranty issues just prior to the end of the paid for extension. In reality this wasn't really an 'extra' cost for extended warranty, because we tried to reduce the cost to the customer by reducing the starting price of the wheel by reducing the warranty period - to try and make the purchase less money without making in financially unviable for us (because - in turn it must be viable financially otherwise there would be no one there to honour a warranty).
• We did have a 3 Year Conditional Warranty (Implemented/Valid from 4/02/2022 expired 12/06/2024) This warranty included x3 Yearly EUC MOT’s worth in excess of £300. (Additional Background: We thought this was a brilliant idea to give really strong assurance to those buying a wheel that they would be looked after, but in reality over the ~2 years we ran it we had very little uptake in the scheme, so decided to end it - in part the complexity in returning the wheel for the MOT was a road block, and as the wheel is literally out of our hands prior to its return there was little we could do to assist).
• We did have a 2 Year Conditional Warranty (Implemented/Valid from 12/06/2024). Additional Background: Again this extended 2 year warranty did not seem to bolster customer confidence in any significant way as to make it financially viable to continue to run the extended warranty. This offer expired 22/09/2024.
